Purpose: A one-minute pitch should be simple and easy to understand and should generate more questions. Calibrate your pitch, organize it, and rehearse it.
First step: Pick 1, 2, 3, or 4.
1. Think about your latest car purchase. Make a case for why you bought that particular car.
2. Think about your favorite magazine subscription. What makes it worthwhile?
3. Are you more of a Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or Pinterest person? How do you use it, and why do you like it?
4. What was your last holiday destination? Why would you recommend it?
Pitch your car, your magazine, your social media platform, or your holiday destination in one minute. Write down your pitch and say it out loud to get a feel for the flow.
Second step:
A one-minute pitch should be very organized. Check the corresponding boxes if you said:
Who you are
The name of the car, magazine, platform, or place
The relevant character
What motivated your choice
Why itâs exciting
Why your audience should consider it and perhaps adopt it
Third step:
Practice makes perfect. Rewrite your pitch, following the checked box guidelines. Read it out loud again. How does it sound now?
